| Message | OH MY GOD!!!!!! I love your site, you have just taken me back down memory lane! Just from seeing the screen shots of each game, has put the catchy tunes in my head from Oh Mummy & Lasy Jones LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Glad im not the only fan out there, shame my mum sold my Einstein computer in the early 90's. Have trawled eBay but no luck, any ideas where to find one now? |

| Message | My dad worked at tatung so we have the 256 and another one dunno its name but my dad re wired it to have a second drive and the on off switch moved to the front. I find this a bit weird as I had all these games on random floppy disks as they sold them off when tatung reduced their work force and ranges I actually didnt think they came in proper boxes. I am going to dig them out of the loft to see if they all still work next time I am home. May be corrupted by being up there. |

| Message | I have just taken a trip down memory lane through the pages of your excellent web site. Together with Graham Bettany I was half of Emsoft and co-producer of the Einstein Monthy magazine. The first edition will always live in my memory as we struggled to put together a magazine about our favourite computer. In the end we had to take a hundred mile round trip in the dead of night to use a company photocopier to produce it. We then had to spend the next day collating, folding, packing and posting. Great days. We always had the problem of getting enough content and so we had to write articles ourselves to fill out the mags. We started the Einstein User shows and took them to Birmingham Motorcycle Museum, Aston Villa Sports Hall and finally to the Stafford Show Ground where we brought in other non PC computer users. We were stunned by how many people attended though we never made much money... But it was brilliant. Thanks again for such a great web site. Mike |

| Message | How wonderful to see that someone still cares about REAL computers. I modified the BIOS for my Einstein so that I could fit a 3.5 inch internal drive way back in 1986 ish. Don't know if I still have the disk with the modified BIOS though. Although I notice that Dave has contributed what looks like a similar thing. If I can be of any assistance with any project you may be interested in then give me a shout, it'll give me the excuse I need to resurrect my machine (hopefully it still works). My .. those were the days ... when one could actually learn from disassembling the O/S. I printed it out - about 2-3 inches thich if memory serves. I may well still have the printout too. I'm not even sure if I have any 3 inch disks left to get the thing alive again. Call me old-fashioned, BOF, resistant to change or whatever but .... god these guys who used to write games - nae GREAT games - with only 64K RAM (and less) were real genii. Alas ... I fear these days will never be re-born. too boring, not enough blood spitting out of the monitor and general posey CGI stuff. Hope I can be of assistance. Regards, Dougie. |
